Forest baths – Benjamin Jouve

Activities for connecting to yourself and your senses through nature. Bivouac hikes (overnight under the stars) in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, between forests, mountains and rivers, in an exceptional environment.

Description

1 Activities to connect with ourselves and our 5 senses: these are "forest bathing" practices. Forest bathing (shinrin yoku in Japanese) was formalized on the Japanese mainland in the early 1980s. At a time when Japanese corporate employees were worn out by work (stress, burn-out), the government encouraged its population to enjoy the forest on a daily basis... However, it has always been known that this practice is essential.
Starting out on foot from my accommodation on the Téravive estate, I'll take you to different places where you can experience different aspects of forest bathing: on the summits, in the forest, by the rivers or on the estate, which boasts ponds and many hundred-year-old trees. I welcome you in Dompnac, but I can travel to other areas if you wish.

Duration from 1h30 to 3h00 depending on the activities and the number of people.

2 Bivouac hikes: I offer you the chance to discover the region in a different way, with a night under the stars when the weather permits. The environment around Dompnac is devoid of light pollution, so you can enjoy starry skies in the mountains or by the river (from 12 to 24 hours depending on the chosen environment).
