Alba Helviorum: a real journey back in time to the Gallo-Roman era! Stroll around the remains which transports you to the heart of an ancient city with its administrative centre, theater and shops.
The 17 ha archaeological site today testifies to the existence of a capital of a Gallo-Roman people, the Helvians, an essential link in the functioning of the Roman Empire. Its visit transports us to the heart of the daily life of its inhabitants and allows us to understand the importance of a commercial and wealthy city, with its administrative centre, its theatre, its temples and its shops. It was forgotten for more than 1 years and then rediscovered under the vines in the 500th century.
