Plateforme d'observation des vautours et du paysage
Located near the Teste Rouge knacker's yard, the new vulture observation platform allows visitors to observe these majestic birds of prey while highlighting the importance of their role in the local ecosystem.
Made entirely of Ardèche chestnut wood, the platform is designed for free use and is suitable for both seasoned naturalists and school groups and tourists. Detailed signage guides visitors to the site, where explanatory panels address the relationship between local livestock and vultures. A telescope also allows visitors to observe these birds up close in flight. The site, financially supported by the Region and the Department, is part of a biodiversity awareness initiative, with the support of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO).
Location details
Above the hamlet of Testé rouge, follow the signs to reach the platform about 500m away. To best discover the landscapes of the Montselgues plateau and guarantee the peace and quiet of the vultures, it is recommended to park in Montselgues and access the platform on foot by road.
