Marking the south-eastern extremity of the vast Cévennes massif, the Vivarais Cévenol cornice develops in the form of a long ridge which stretches from the north from the Prataubérat massif towards the foothills of southern Ardèche to the south-east, dominating the deep valleys of the Drobie to the east and the Thines and Chassezac to the south.
