Description
Around thirty dinosaur footprints have been found in Triassic sandstone in Payzac in Ardèche. In particular, four hand-foot tracks were discovered, which is rare. Other footprints exist in southern Ardèche, but those of Payzac are unique: a study has determined that these tracks belong to a single species of dinosaur, unknown elsewhere: the coelurosaurichnus grancieri (named after Mr. Grancier, their inventor).
