Géosentier des Cirques de Naves – Naves

Along a route rich in viewpoints and surprising panoramas, the Cirques de Naves geopath allows you to discover superb and preserved landscapes, between the slopes of the Cévennes and the Mediterranean scrubland. The circuit, which forms a loop, crosses a limestone zone compiling 18 million years of Earth's history and then allows you to approach the metamorphic territories of the Massif Central, 500 million years old. These two groups are exceptionally brought into contact by the presence of a geological fault: the Orcières fault... All this geological history, which has major consequences on buildings, fauna, flora and agriculture, will be explained to you through 11 stops equipped with interpretation tables to combine pleasant hiking and fun learning.
