Animal Art of Yesterday and Today.
There are similarities between the animal representations of Paleolithic artists and the images of photographer Guillaume Mazille.
The confrontation of these gazes is at the heart of the exhibition Belles Bêtes!
The work of both reveals great sensitivity and closeness to their subjects, the fruit of observation time, patience and approach...

The objective of a wildlife photographer is to show the animal in all its vitality, sometimes its personality. Look. No longer make the animal a simple object of description or contemplation.
This approach echoes Paleolithic animal representations. Some surprise with their realism, representing the animal in all its vitality and specificity. What approach did prehistoric artists have to the animal world to arrive at such knowledge, which comes under ethology?

The confrontation of these past and present gazes projects us into the universe of men and women who establish an intimate relationship with other species. This photographic adventure invites us to an odyssey. An escape from oneself and an investigation without narcissism on our legitimate place among the animals.
