Parcours sans tuer – toutes techniques : La Drobie
No-kill fishing route on the Drobie River, in the communes of St-Mélany and St-André-Lachamp. The upper limit is at the Courcousson ravine, downstream from the Moulin de la Brousse. The lower limit is at the confluence of the Chamblat stream in the hamlet of La Miaille.
Fish population: Brown trout, minnow, brook trout, gudgeon, chub
Type of management: asset management
Regulations: Regardless of the species, the number of catches allowed per fisherman per day is set at zero (0). Any fish caught must be immediately returned to the water. Maximum 2 single barbless hooks.
The routes described are officially recognized by regulations as no-kill fishing routes.
These routes are marked and easily identifiable thanks to specific signs along the watercourse.

Above the Vivarais Cévenol ledge, hidden among thick chestnut forests, a valley with a unique charm is revealed. This is the Drobie valley. Its source is in the Prataubérat massif (1 m above sea level) and it joins the Beaume 150 km further downstream at the place called "Deux-Aygues". Located in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park, this picturesque river in the Cévennes flows through deep, wild gorges.

It is advisable to fish discreetly, as brown trout are shy fish and are found in clear rivers. Discretion is essential if you don't want to scare your fellow fishermen and end up breaking up.
