In his workshop surrounded by clèdes, small traditional constructions of the Cévennes, Jonathan Lelosq finds his wood in the surrounding forests. Wood, often marked by time and natural elements, becomes the protagonist of each creation:
“Here in fact, in my workshop, we are surrounded by small clèdes, so the small stone constructions where chestnuts were dried at the time. I have the forest around where I take my wood. I highlight it… When I see a piece of wood, I imagine what I could do with it. I try to transform it so that it makes a pretty, useful object…”
