Spéléologie – Ombre et Lumière

Looking for a unique and friendly moment with family, friends or in a group? Want to discover nature in a fun and original way? Want to relax, do sports and adventure? Want a challenge and emotion? Ombre et Lumière offers you the chance to discover the underground environment from a different angle with a tailor-made and original activity. Half-day, full-day or multi-day outing.

“Easy” Caving: In cavities with a mainly horizontal profile with a few small projections, children, alone or accompanied, can share, for half a day, the magical and marvelous world of silence.

“Relaxation” caving: Crossing or going back and forth, in vertical cavities, come and discover a mysterious world by appealing to your senses. These outings are accessible to the greatest number.

“Intrepid” Caving: You will progress in large cavities, with a very vertical profile, requiring a good mastery of caving techniques. See you at the center of the earth!!!! If necessary, an afternoon of preliminary training can be planned together to allow you to acquire these techniques.

Equipment to bring: a pair of sneakers (which will get dirty), pants and a long-sleeved T-shirt, a picnic for day trips. For 2-day caves, this list will be completed. Technical equipment provided.

The activities are suitable for everyone, they can be practiced as a “discovery” for a day or half-day, or as a “major outing” over several days, for the more athletic. Groups are made up of a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 8 people. Outside of holiday periods a minimum of 3 people is required with a prior reservation 24 hours in advance. The activities are adapted according to the age and level of practice of the participants.

Ombre et Lumière also means discovering the Ardèche through canyoning and Via ferrata/cordata activities.
