A gourmet visit to Castanea – Joyeuse
???? In the heart of Joyeuse, Castanea, the Ardèche chestnut discovery area, offers an original, family-friendly experience, perfect for spring break!
Every Tuesday at 15 p.m., it's time for the sensory visit, accessible from 3 years old: we look, we touch, we listen, we taste… and we play in a museum! An immersive activity to experience together, perfect for awakening the curiosity of the little ones.
Every Thursday at 15 p.m., gourmets will be delighted to participate in the guided tasting : smooth chestnut cream, honey gingerbread, vegetable terrine… A tasty way to explore all the facets of the emblematic fruit of Ardèche.
Apart from these activities, the museum is open for self-guided tours from Tuesday to Sunday from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.. Little extra: a tube of chestnut cream is offered for each paying entry and investigation game booklets are available for children from 6 years old.
We love: the fun and gourmet approach, the special holiday activities and the 100% chestnut shop to leave with a local souvenir.

Cycling on the Via Ardèche
???? What if you took your tribe on an easy and fun bike ride? Via Ardeche, an old railway line converted into a greenway, offers a safe and accessible route for all, ideal for a bike ride with children. The section of the Pays des Vans, between Saint-Paul-le-Jeune and Berrias-et-Casteljau, is perfect for a first experience: a 7,2 km round trip punctuated by 5 tunnels (including a spectacular 700 m one with automatic lighting).
We like: the easy access, the safety of the gentle track, the tunnels that amuse children, and the unexpected beauty of this section between nature and railway heritage.

03
Dolmen outings: discovering a mysterious heritage
???? Enjoy a spring outing to follow in the footsteps of Neolithic men during a guided and storytelling walk around the dolmens of the Cévennes of Ardèche.
Designed for families, this outing allows children to discover, listen to captivating stories, and better understand life in prehistoric times. A fun and immersive way to approach archaeology while walking through stunning landscapes.
